Confession Time
Okay, I've been a critic since the beginning but I'm going to admit it here and now; the guy is the best player in the world right now. That's it.

It's Pronounced Like "Tiger" But Without the "Err" Sound at the End
Okay folks, it's education time. My friend Emily told me about this guy Tadhg Cooke a few months ago. I immediately added him to the LKMC Friend list and actually won a free CD in a contest he had on his MySpace page. Anyway, he just signed a deal that will have his music played in Starbucks. Check him out before he gets too famous. He's super-good...and he's Irish. What else can you ask for?

An Underrated Flick
Just watched Collateral again last night. It's really excellent. Yeah, Tom Cruise is pretty mental, but the guy can act. Jamie Foxx is very good too. Some great cinematography from Michael Mann; 80% of the movie was filmed on the streets of L.A. with digital video cameras. Pretty cool. Put it in your queue if you know what's good for ya.

Wolfgang's Vault
If you haven't visited Wolfgang's Vault by now, make it a priority on your e-do list. They have some amazing stuff on there, including authentic vintage music tees, posters, photos, ticket stubs and even streaming concerts you can listen to for free, on demand. Go there now and spend a bunch of time looking at things.
The Real Von Dutch
Before the Hollywood bastardized clothing line, the man Kenny Howard, A.K.A. "Von Dutch", was a true hot rod/art pioneer (and a bit of a maniac). Check out this write-up to find out more about the man behind the name. It's not $200 jeans. It's the opposite of that, actually.
The End of Print
It was only a matter of time, but it's happening now. We've come to the end of an era.
STOCKHOLM, Sweden - For centuries, readers thumbed through the crackling pages of Sweden's Post-och Inrikes Tidningar newspaper. No longer. The world's oldest paper still in circulation has dropped its paper edition and now exists only in cyberspace. The newspaper, founded in 1645 by Sweden's Queen Kristina, became a Web-only publication on Jan. 1. It's a fate, many ink-stained writers and readers fear, that may await many of the world's most venerable journals.
"We think it's a cultural disaster," said Hans Holm, who served as the chief editor of Post-och Inrikes Tidningar for 20 years. "It is sad when you have worked with it for so long and it has been around for so long."
Remember These?
My mom brought me a bag of these that I had in my old closet in the house I grew up in. I loved these little dudes, but now I realize they're really weird. Isn't always like that though? You get older, you look back on kid stuff (Smurfs, Voltron, etc.) and it dawns on you how strange this stuff is. I'm just saying.

Boooorrrriiing
Sorry, but it was. And maybe the most not-celebrating afterward that I've ever seen. Prince was the best part, and I'm not even a fan.
No Melo?
You don't snub the league's leading scorer on an All-Star game. You just don't. Even if he did try to open-hand slap a dude. Come on people, get your stuff together.
Fitzy
This William Fitzsimmons fella is good and relaxin'. Plus, he has a beard that rivals (actually, soundly overtakes) Sam Beam's of Iron & Wine fame. Have a listen to his music here.

Hibachi!
Thankfully, he made a late run in the votes. C'mon, he's waaayyy better than Vince-freakin' Carter. And you know it. Check the stats.
